LLT 545 Problem based learning through Instructional Technology
One of the assignments of the required course work was in our assigned group we had to create Professional Development presentation with the following requirements...
This upcoming school year I will be running more technology related Professional Developments in school. One of the request from staff has been on Google Classroom and Google Tools. I felt as thought that the above PD would be a great starting point since we really cover the basics of Google Tools and Google Classroom. PDs can be overwhelms at times, which is why I chose to use this as a starting point. When I was working on this assignment with my group we all discussed what was our end goal. We brainstormed ideas and came up with that we want to have a fun and active PD not just lecture but take a more hands on approach. We also wanted to make the PowerPoint which was viewer friendly with information which is easy to follow, but then allow time for a short activity to use what we have just discussed in a real hands on activity. I believe students learn best when they are working hands on and it's show the students how to do something instead of just telling them what or how to do something.
