Pursuing my M.Ed. in Instructional Technology at Kutztown University. In this portfolio I will be showcasing my work which, I have completed throughout my Master's program at Kutztown University and how it aligns with the ISTE Standards for Coaches.
Philosophy of Teaching
Education is a key that can open the doors to many possibilities. I am a key “maker” I help provide my students with the key or keys to help unlock the door to their next destination. I believe that all students regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or social economic status deserve and have the right to a fair and equal education. I believe that all students can be taught, its just a matter of finding how to teach the student and how to accommodate and modify the way we teach to reach all our students.
I believe that technology is a key for educators to be able to reach all the students in classroom. I also feel that inclusion is important for students with special needs to be allowed to be educated alongside their peers while still receiving a fair and equal education. I work with a large population of students with special needs and understand that we need to create an education system that works for all students regardless of disability or needs of the student. I know we can do this with the aid of the incorporation of technology in the classroom.
I choose to further my studies and to work towards my Masters in Instructional Technology to help not only myself but my fellow teachers and students to help create an environment in which we are able to provide the best education to all our students.
