I will be focusing on a tool that a coworker and I found and have been using for the past few years in our classrooms. This is a website with short videos and articles that can be used to help introduce new topics or be used to reinforce and review concepts covered in class.  Study.com which is compatible with Google Classroom can be used in an asynchronous or synchronous learning environment. This has been a great tool for the in-person classroom to help reinforce key concepts. In the virtual classroom it can be used to support students who need extra practice. As it is already linked with Google, it can be easily incorporated into Google Classroom.​ 

         This online tool has been a great resources for myself and other coworkers who have decided to use study.com. A coworker and myself when we first started to use this site in our classroom it was still fairly new and we had ideas which we would like to see on study.com. Such as having videos organized by certain textbooks so we emailed the customer support department and they actually were open to the feedback and asked us if we could provide specific titles of the textbooks. We also wanted the ability to print out the quizzes so students could have the copy in front of them as we watched the videos in class so we emailed the support team again. They were able to create a print button so we could easily print out the quizzes easily. This tool has been of great use not only for students in the classroom, but also when we had students absent for a long period of time we were able to assign a set of videos for students to review which covered the material we covered in class. When we went to fully virtual learning, this tool really helped us since this was already available virtually. Since we had many teachers that were willing to use this moving forward we bought a school subscription which will allow all staff to have access to the site and all the resources. One of the great things that really works with study.com for myself and other teachers is that each video has a written transcript of the video attached so it allows students to read and look up the answers if the video was to difficult to follow. This is a great example of providing proper accommodations and modifications for our students.    

Study.com can also be used for 

• Test Prep for standardized test or AP exams   
• Earn College Credit & certain certification by completing the online course work. 
• Homeschool or virtual learning is a great tool to have access to. 

Also study.com is very well organized and easy to search for content based on Grade level, subject, or even in some instances textbooks.
